Helena (Isabelle Adjani)'s husband is a French gang leader. One day, when he was walking down the street carrying a file box containing important documents, he was robbed by the French gangster Fred. Fred used France's vast metro system to escape. Fred (Christopher Lambert) hid the important documents he had snatched in the subway. At this time, he discovered that the world in the subway turned out to be colorful. Here he met guitarists, roller derby boys, drummers and others. The police and gangs are now looking for Fred. As Fred demands ransom for the documents from Helena, Helena gradually falls in love with him and increasingly hates her husband and her class. Fred always had a dream to form a band.
