The Great Chase

The story happened at the end of the Sino-Japanese War. Miyamoto, a Japanese kamikaze pilot, was ordered to go to Chongqing to bomb the General Staff Headquarters. Passing through a battle zone between Chinese guerrillas and the Japanese army, Miyamoto dropped bombs indiscriminately while drunk. His own plane was also hit by the Japanese army. He was forced to land on the side of the road and was taken back to the military camp by the Japanese army. Yamamoto, an officer in the camp, wanted to punish Miyamoto, but Miyamoto was afraid, so he escaped overnight with the war-weary cook Kojiro. Miyamoto and Kojiro escaped from the military camp after many hardships, but they encountered guerrillas again. In order to escape, the two pretended to be not Japanese.
