Love in Gulu

The film tells a love story that took place on the egg-laying cliff of Gulu, Guizhou Province. Gulu is the name of the place. Wan Xin (played by Tan Hao) is a successful man in the provincial capital and is half of the Shui tribe. After he arrives at Shuizhai with a tourist group, he meets Shui Xiu (played by Wang Ruohan), a Shui tribe girl he likes. Shuixiu is a college student who returned to Shuizhai to start a business. She organizes left-behind women to develop horsetail embroidery, push the horsetail embroidery out of the village gate, and develop the economy of her hometown. The arrival of Wan Xin was of great help to Shui Xiu in developing the intangible cultural heritage of the Shui family: horsetail embroidery, Shui family Jiuqian wine, Shui family singing and dancing, and aquatic impressions. Shui Xiu admired her sincerely, and the two fell in love. However, due to traditional concepts, they had a series of misunderstandings, causing Shui Xiu to swear to the stone god in public that he would not marry Wan Xin unless Shi Ya laid an egg. Wan Xin's words of not giving up moved the Stone God, Shi Ya laid eggs, and Wan Xin and Shui Xiu finally got married.
