Hot Afternoon

Based on a true story, the most imperfect bank robbery in American history. The bank robbery crime that was supposed to be completed in 10 minutes turned into a 12-hour tug-of-war. Sonny (played by Al Pacino) is the most unlucky bank robber in American history. On a midsummer afternoon, Sonny and his companion Sailor (played by John Cazare) broke into Brooklyn Bank in New York City in preparation for the robbery. Perseveringly, the bank had just completed the transaction and there was no cash at all in the vault. The unlucky Sonny and Sailor turned to hostage-taking and confronted the police to make demands. But four hours later, the scene of the robbery was as busy as an amusement park with onlookers and busy police. Sonny actually won applause from the crowd when he walked out of the bank and questioned the police. Eight hours later, the bank robbery was broadcast live on TV, and everyone was as happy as if they were filming a movie. And when night falls, the hostages also develop Stockholm syndrome. How will this farce end?
