Kent is the leader of the city of Battle Luck in the western United States. He fell into the control of the town patrol due to a cheating card game, which also resulted in the murder of a man named Sharif Koger. The mayor conspired with Kent to plunge the town into chaos for their own benefit, and they installed a man named Washington Teasdale as the new sheriff, whom they thought would be easy to control. However, they did not know that Tisdale was originally an agent of a famous prosecutor, Tom Daistry. Daistry had strong power and was able to arrange more powerful people to serve as Tisdale's deputy. Kent and the mayor did not expect this. Although they tried to control the development of the entire situation through various careful plans, they ultimately failed and their conspiracy and crimes were exposed to the world.
