Synopsis
Akeem (Eddie Murphy) (played by Arsenio Hall) is the prince of the Kingdom of Zamunda. He and his attendant Sangmi (played by Arsenio Hall) came to the United States for a 40-day incognito visit here. For Akeem, this trip has another purpose. He is very dissatisfied with the marriage arranged for him by his father Kai (James Earl Jones), so Akeem decides to find his true love in the United States. Fortunately, such a woman soon appeared. Her name is Sally (played by Shari Headley). In order to get close to Sally, Akeem entered the bakery owned by Sally's father and became a wage earner. Sally has a boyfriend with a very rough personality. In contrast, she prefers the gentle Akeem.
