Primitive Planet

On an unnamed planet in the vast universe, there are two kinds of creatures with very different sizes living. The dominant ones are the Dagos, who are huge in stature, possess extremely high civilization and wisdom, and can free their spirit from the body to roam freely; in contrast are the Ormus, who have the appearance and body shape of earthlings, and have a primitive and backward social form. They are like ants in front of the Dagos, so they do their best to become the slaves and playthings of these giants. The Ormus people have tenacious vitality and reproductive ability, and their numbers are increasing day by day, causing trouble to the rulers. As a result, a war of extermination against the Ormus people began immediately. This was originally an insignificant operation to exterminate pests, but an inconspicuous Ormus man changed the situation for both parties. Tyr is an Ormus male pet kept by a Dagos girl. He learned the advanced scientific and cultural knowledge of the Dagos people through his master's teaching machine. By chance, Tell escaped from the Dagos family and became the leader of the Ormus people against the rulers... The film won the Special Award at the 1973 Cannes Film Festival.
