Young Frankie lived with his family on a quiet island in Northern Ireland. His charitable father taught him how to fish. However, one night at dinner, a masked gangster broke in and shot his father dead simply because his father revealed his sympathy for the IRA. When Frankie (Brad Pitt) grew up, he became an IRA sharpshooter. However, the British army was always powerful, so Frankie and others decided to buy Stinger missiles. Five months later, Frankie hid his identity and was arranged by an insider to temporarily stay at the home of policeman Tom (Harrison Ford). On the one hand, the charming Frankie quickly established a friendship with Tom's family and hid a large sum of money in Tom's home. On the other hand, Frankie found the local black market arms dealer Poker (Treat Williams) to purchase missiles. However, the arms dealer is eager for money and sends masked men to break into Tom's house. The entire chess game is completely disrupted.
