"Brothers and Sisters on the Cape" is a work by rising Japanese director Shinzo Katayama that once again explores the controversial nature of human morality. It is inspired by the real-life murder case "The Zama Nine Murders" that shocked Japan. A girl searches for her father who left home and discovers that a young man who looks like a serial killer has taken his father's name. She decides to obtain traces of his father from this man. "Dad saw the wanted serial killer today. If he is caught, there will be a reward of three million." The father said this to his daughter the night before, and disappeared the next day. The anxious daughter searched everywhere and followed the clues to the place where her father worked part-time. When she called her father's name, a strange young man appeared, and the man's appearance looked exactly like the serial killer on the bulletin board! From searching for his father, seeking his murderer, and seeking his death, the film not only successfully captures the intimate atmosphere of life between father and daughter, but also hides deep social criticism in the violent violence that suddenly changes in tone. The powerful actor Jiro Sato changed his comedic image and delicately interpreted the complicated and tangled state of mind of his father; the new generation actor Shimizu Hiroyuki gave a seemingly harmless but cold-blooded and cruel performance that made people shudder.
