Nightmare Asylum

Jean Bellot (played by Pavel Liska), a young man who suffers from nightmares, repeatedly has the same dream: two demons broke into his bedroom and pushed him into a lunatic asylum. The mentally and physically exhausted Berlot encounters the mysterious Marquis Marquis (played by Jan Triska). This weird marquis who threatened to save Bolott lured Bolott to an eerie lunatic asylum. The sticky air, the morbid madman, the "raw meat show" interspersed in the darkness, and a series of disgusting debauchery caused the lost Bellot to completely collapse. When he learns the ugly faces of the dean and the marquis from the seemingly innocent nurse Charlotte (Anna Geislerová), this purgatory nightmare has just begun. This surreal work "Nightmare Asylum" created by Czech film and animation master Jan Svanmayer won the Best Film at the 2005 Pearson Film Festival, the 2006 Czech Golden Lion Award for Best Art Direction, Poster Design and other awards, and represented the Czech Republic in the 2007 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. Svan Meyer warns the world at the beginning that this is a film that tests your visual limits and challenges your mental limits.
