Mirzapur is an Indian crime thriller web television series for Amazon Prime Video produced by Excel Entertainment. The show was mainly shot in Mirzapur and also shot in Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Lucknow and Gorakhpur. It revolves around drugs, guns and lawlessness. It depicts the corruption, governance and rule of the mafia, as well as the rivalry and crime in the Purvanchal district of Uttar Pradesh. Its season 1 contains a total of 9 episodes. The series is the third novel in Amazon Prime Video's "Indian Originals" and is exclusive to Inside Edge and Breathe. It includes Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, Divyendu Sharma and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.
