After their parents died young, Haizhu (played by Wu Yaohan), Xiao Yuan (played by Ng Yongwei), Xiaoyu (played by Wan Qiwen) and their family lived a life of dependence on each other. As the eldest brother in the family, Haizhu naturally takes on most of the responsibilities in the family. However, as his sisters grow up, Haizhu cannot always guard them. By chance, Xiao Yuan met Feng Tailai (played by Sun Xing), a young man from a wealthy family. The two fell in love with each other and developed rapidly. They soon reached the point of discussing marriage, but Haizhu's intervention made the relationship turbulent.
