Snake Print

Set in the strange and wild land of California's Joshua Tree Desert, "Snake Print" is a highly sensory-impacting and surreal independent film that takes a female perspective as its core and delves into the harsh ways a heart heals from trauma. The film is inspired by the French "Grand Guignol" horror theater style, and uses poetic visuals and language to capture the eerie poetry of the Mojave Desert's land and soundscapes. The film tells the story of a reclusive female motorcycle rider and her John Wayne-obsessed stripper lover who have an unsettling break-up after a brutal acid attack. Meanwhile, an ethereal medium and her fellow wannabe healer step in with supernatural powers in an attempt to confront and heal the couple—and themselves—from the deep-seated personal pain stemming from trying to break the cycle of possessive love.
