朝鲜王朝时期，千京秀（柳俊烈 饰）是一个奇怪的盲人，他白天不见一物，生活在绝对黑暗之中，到了夜晚则恢复视力。于是本为医者的他便隐藏着这个秘密，每到夜晚便苦学医术，最终成为了国王仁宗（柳海真 饰）信赖和后宫佳丽毫不设防的御医。这一天，他奉仁宗旨意去为世子看病，结果半盲的秘密却不小心被世子参破。适值风雨飘摇时期，世子之位尚且不保，因此他十分理解京秀的苦衷。哪想到好景不长，不久后京秀便在黑暗中目睹了众太医杀害世子的恐怖一幕。得知世子身亡，仁宗悲痛欲绝，下令严查行凶之人。 王宫之内顿时风雨飘摇，一场血雨腥风即将到来……
