“水杀鬼”是一种必须附在人身上才能脱离水中的恶灵。随着妹妹秀雅（朴兰 饰）被恶灵袭击，佳英（朴善惠 饰）一家悲痛不已。虽然曾是巫师的母亲金贞利用五行相生、相剋的特性想赶走恶灵，但秀雅仍消失在冰冷的水中。某天，佳英为了寻找突然消失的母亲，走向吞噬妹妹的水库，并在那发现了可疑的尸体，佳英还被以死去妹妹的模样现身的鬼追杀……
