女犯人贞慧（金允珍 饰）在狱中生下儿子珉宇，小珉宇就像上帝派来的小天使，让这些和贞慧一样曾犯下罪过的女人在围墙之内品味久违的温情。一次慰问演出让贞慧萌生了在监狱里组建合唱团的想法，可是贞慧不仅五音不全，而且完全没有相关经验。 小珉宇满18个月后将被领养，为了得到在领养之前与儿子一起外出的机会，贞慧决定无论组建合唱团有多困难都要坚持下去。在众多善良狱友的帮助下，合唱团终于小聚规模，然而令贞慧没想到的是，一起与儿子外出的日子也是与儿子的离别之日。合唱团就像一个幸福的大家庭，它不仅带给那些失去自由的犯人们欢乐，而且也在逐渐弥合曾经的苦难记忆留在他们内心的殇痛……
