曾经，林大林（姚安濂 饰）亦是一位默默无闻的打工仔，然而，多年过去，凭借着自己的努力和坚持，林大林终于翻身做了老板，拥有了一间属于自己的玩具工厂。然而，老板却并不是这么好当的，林大林的命运并非掌握在自己的手中，他的成败完全由手握订单的外商所决定。 随着时间的推移，林大林的工厂渐渐办不下去了，没有生产，就没有盈利，没有盈利，林大林就无法给手下的工人们发工资。某日，林大林接到了一笔数量可观的订单，但是，时间紧迫，工人们必须加班加点完成任务。与此同时，一位名叫艾晶（汤嬿 饰）的记者潜伏在林大林的工厂之中，她此行的目的，是为了曝光林大林“血汗工厂”的真相。
