一个敢说敢做、独立而泼辣的现代农村妇女形象，虽然最终与“刘威”离婚，独自抚养三个女儿，但依然乐观，总是相信面包会有的，生活会好起来的。她自学了如何放映电影，并把被县里收回去的放映机又要回来继续放“野场子”（即露天）电影 这部电影是杨亚洲向中国电影百年诞辰的献礼之作，他希望借《雪花那个飘》来讲述“普通人与电影的联系”。和自己以往的电影一样，他希望看过这部电影的观众能够记住影片中的主要人物。
