表面看来，乔（朱茵 饰）是一名普通的心理系学生，然而实际上，她拥有着能够通灵的特异功能。一次偶然中，乔遇见了一位名叫司徒（罗兰 饰）的老人，司徒是一位问米婆，得知了乔的特殊能力，她决定将自己的衣钵传授给她。 为了说服乔成为自己的继承人，司徒带着乔的灵魂来到了地府，在这里，乔意外遇见了名为阿倩（张文慈 饰）的冤魂。原来，阿倩是黑社会老大阿武（尹天照 饰）的妻子，因为丈夫在外结仇而惨遭报复被焚烧致死，心中充满怨怒的阿倩上了乔的身，回到人间，想要找到阿武与其同归于尽，就在这个节骨眼上，得知一切真相的交通警察阿齐（钱嘉乐 饰）及时赶到，制止了悲剧的再次上演。
