陶涛（李晨 饰）是武警九中队里的一名“问题学生”，在押运任务中屡屡犯错，但中队长邵笛（王斑 饰）发现了他内心的闪光点，因此对他格外重用。陶涛的父亲患上了尿毒症，他的弟弟陶锐为了筹钱医治父亲，被犯罪分子利用，设计了一个抢劫银行的软件，得知此事的陶涛尽管十分痛苦，但还是大义灭亲，将弟弟送入了牢房。 项洛阳是邵笛的大学同学，如今已经一跃成为了公司老板，因为经营不善，项洛阳负债累累，于是设计诈保。徐晓菲是陶涛的女友，陶涛怀疑她的父亲正在干某种违法的勾当，于是决心独自调查，却被对方发现打晕。犯罪分子们将目标锁定在了金库之上，所幸陶涛及时醒来，保住了金库的财产。
