陈立正是双河市机械厂职工子弟学校的教师，学校改制后退休回家，开了一家小服装店维持生计。陈立正的女儿小莉长得高挑漂亮，被名牌大学的时装系录取。这在陈立正所住的三圣街可是百年不遇的大事，正可谓鸡窝里飞出了金凤凰，大伙决定要好好庆祝一番，不想在酒席宴上，小莉却被两名公安带走。经过多方打探，陈立正得知小莉牵涉到一件贩毒大案中，他深信女儿的清白，但又不知道如何救女儿出来。就在这时，陈立正从小到大过命的朋友刘思昌找上门来，表示可以帮小莉请到著名的海归大律师，一定能打赢这个官司。不过律师费再加上下打点的钱，大概要10万。
