夏磊（林瑞阳 饰）自小生活在深山野林之中，父亲夏牧云在偶然之中救下了名为康秉谦的男子，并在病重之际将夏磊托付给了后者。康秉谦将夏磊带回了家，和自己的一双儿女康梦凡（俞小凡 饰）、康梦华（施羽 饰）生活在一起，康秉谦对夏磊的宠爱很快就激起了康梦华的嫉妒，大吵一架后，倔强的夏磊选择了离家出走。这段出走的经历使得夏磊结识了一生的挚友楚天白（翁家明 饰），两人结为兄弟。 一晃眼多年过去，康家的孩子们和楚家的孩子们纷纷考上了大学，走上各自的人生。康梦凡和楚天白从很小的时候起就订了娃娃亲，然而，康梦凡却爱上了与众不同的夏磊，楚天白得知此事，兄弟情义破裂。
