洪乐瑥（金裕贞 饰）女扮男装化名洪三郎，靠着替人撰写情书牵线搭桥维持生计。某日，一个偶然的失误令洪乐瑥惹上了一大堆的麻烦，不仅欠下巨额债务，还身处于危险之中，与此同时，洪乐瑥结识了名为李韺（朴宝剑 饰）的书生，话不投机的两人之间因为种种误会而产生了诸多矛盾。 机遇巧合之下，洪乐瑥入宫成为了內侍，可是，让她没有想到的是，她竟然在宫中和李韺重逢了，原来，此人的真实身份竟然是高贵的王世子，而李韺为了替妹妹讨一口气，遂决定将洪乐瑥留在身边，想好好作弄作弄她。随着时间的推移，洪乐瑥和李韺患难与共，彼此之间竟然生成了真挚的感情，李韺再也无法无视内心里的悸动，而此时的他还并不知和自己朝夕相处的洪乐瑥，竟然是女儿身。
