电视动画《纯情罗曼史3》改编自日本漫画家中村春菊原作的漫画《纯情罗曼史》，亦是该系列动画的第3期，剧情从原作第11卷讲起。《纯情罗曼史》动画第3期制作的消息在2014年8月发售的单行本第18卷上公布。电视动画于2015年7月8日在日本播出，在中国大陆的网络播放权由腾讯视频取得。在哥哥的朋友、超有名的小说家（兼BL小说家）宇佐见秋彦以家庭教师身份的帮助之下，高桥美咲顺利地成为了大学生。美咲借着哥哥转职的机会寄住到宇佐见的公寓，在同居的过程中，他自觉到自己与宇佐见的关系，以及对于宇佐见感情的变化。某天，美咲得知自己总算升到了大学四年级而感到高兴，但转眼间他就迎来了更进一步的试练。
