In 2071, with the realization of super-light navigation technology, humans were able to move conveniently within the solar system. However, due to design errors, this technology caused the explosion of the moon, and countless lunar fragments were attracted to the earth, causing an unprecedented catastrophe. The surviving humans fled the Earth and began to build homes throughout the solar system. Due to this disaster, the national government and other rights institutions are extremely unstable, and security issues have become a problem. Some organizations have begun to allow individuals to capture wanted criminals in exchange for bounty rewards. This is called "bounty hunting." Spike and Jet are bounty hunters who pilot the spaceship BEBOP in the universe to capture fugitives and obtain bonuses. During their interstellar journey, the two met Fei, a beauty who was heavily in debt and greedy for money, and Ed, a computer prodigy, and adopted Ain, a data dog with high IQ. From then on, four people and one dog wandered in the vast universe, experiencing all kinds of joys and sorrows in their own lives and the lives of others, and looking for their own pasts.
