明星林珍妮（张曼玉 饰）在香港家喻户晓，但同时，她暗中做面向外地富商的应召女郎多年，在结束了一次远在泰国的应召之后，林在机场结识了爽朗的富家子弟史提芬（齐秦 饰），并与其渐渐坠入情网；主妇美凤（冯宝宝 饰）为了应付丈夫（冯淬帆 饰）高额的治疗费用，只得选择瞒着丈夫儿子做应召女郎，这分裂的生活给她的家庭带来了意外的巨变；姗姗（吴家丽 饰）与玲玉（陈奕诗 饰）是一对儿要好的舞女姐妹，二人时常用计从老凯子的口袋中骗钱，表面风光后面，是失去母亲的寂寞和作为偷渡客的彷徨；不良少女菲比（余倩文 饰）不甘在家中受继父的骚扰，日日与一班古惑仔为伍，并做了其中一人的女友，岂料“男友”只是强迫她卖身赚钱……
