阿泰（许志安 饰）是一名平凡的警察，他并没有什么宏大的职业理想，只想攒够了钱，能够和心爱的女友小愉（梁咏琪 饰）结婚，两人共同拥有一幢小小的宅子，在那里安安稳稳的生活一辈子。 小愉在赌场上班，在那里气氛的耳濡目染之下，见惯了大场面的小愉并不满足于普通的生活。她知道阿泰是一个好人，也知道他一定会对自己忠贞不渝，但小愉并没有考虑好，是否要接受阿泰的求婚。在一次行动中，阿泰偶遇了儿时的玩伴仔仔，仔仔交给了阿泰一笔巨款，委托他去送给黑帮大佬权哥，不然的话，仔仔可能性命难保。在接下这一委托的同时，阿泰的生活彻底偏离了正常的轨道。
