John Maybury · The transformation of time and space, the travel between the present and the future, are all happening magically to Jack (played by Adrien Brody). He was originally an American soldier who participated in the Gulf War. An accidental shooting caused him to lose his memory and became an amnesiac. What was even more unfortunate was that he was considered a murder suspect by the police and was brought back for interrogation. Because he was diagnosed as mentally ill, Jack was spared from jail and was only taken to a mental hospital as a sample for a scientific experiment. The doctor put Jack in tight clothing and put him in the morgue. It's dark and cold here, and only scattered memory fragments remain with Jack. The fragments contain his future appearance, a beloved woman named Jackie (Keira Knightley), and the news that he is about to die. Jack, who sees the future in his memory, is looking for the key to life in a glimmer of hope.
