Synopsis
内忧外患的晚清，西太后和庆王爷、礼亲王把持朝政。朝局十分不堪之时她最后决定要素来被人认为是糊涂和不堪大用的惇王爷重新执政。惇王爷早年我行我素，当年因泄露消息得罪了西太后，又和自家的女仆大蓝子媾和遭到众亲贵的反对被发去守皇陵。虽然表面上惇王爷是个有些混和糊涂的王爷，但内心里他却是个诚恳和可爱的实在人。 他上任以后，同庆王爷等人进行了几次交锋。虽然几次为民造福，可是最终还是拗不过腐朽的封建势力，惇王爷决定再也不理朝政了……
