太平镇年不久前闹过一场瘟疫，为了安抚百姓，准备办一场水陆法会。灵隐寺的圣僧道济与师兄广亮，途中遇到花妖，由此引出故事的开篇……来到灵隐寺，在陈县令的口中得知，小儿恐怕被女妖迷惑，还请来了梁世元设法除妖，却被道济戏耍一番，颜面无光，恼羞成怒下与道济对赌捉妖，却是败给道济。梁世元倍感耻辱，找了万年青蛟敖青，施展妖术捉走百姓的孩子，想要杀掉道济。道济与广亮与青蛟缠斗，一口精血破了青蛟的妖丹，妖丹却被梁世元得到，道济罗汉金身下凡，降服青蛟，梁世元起了恶念，吞下妖丹，道济设计骗出梁世元，打伤了梁世元。而青蛟也将妖丹夺回，最终在道济的劝说下，幡然悔悟，最终，道济将梁世元打下悬崖，救回了孩子…
