故事发生在阿瑜陀耶王朝讪佩八世国王统治时期，阿信是府尹帕皮察手下一名普通手aaa。他一直暗恋着染布女工努恩。在这个时期，社会动荡，上至官员下至百姓都不服从八世王的管理。为了镇压那些贪污舞弊的官员，府尹帕皮察伪装自己并组建了强盗团伙，而阿信就是其中的一员。在一场动荡中，阿信阴差阳错救下了八世王，后来阿信被讪佩八世纳为官员，帮他镇压那些舞弊官员。在一次国王出使的过程中，作为舵手的阿信为救国王导致御舟的船头断裂，按照国法应被砍头，但国王知道他是出于好意而不是故意，因此没有治罪。由于政治理念的不同，阿信的恩师帕皮察准备伏击讪佩八世，阿信作为讪佩八世的随行官员，也在伏击名单之列。关键时刻是努恩说服帕皮察，讪佩八世也和帕皮察达成和解，一起保护黎明百姓。
