剧照香港警察江家明（刘锡明）、石子维（杨得时）到内地查案，与当地警察高建中（关礼杰）惺惺相惜，结成好友。之后，健中突偷渡到港，并加入犯罪集团，明、维大感意外，后得知建中乃卧底，三人决定里应外合对付恶势力。中在犯罪集团中，获得头目王国柱（欧瑞伟）信任，二人展开一段亦友亦敌之关系，中亦结识教师莫素兰（杨美仪），二人共坠爱河。明查出李敏超（黄秋生）乃该集团首脑，乃苦苦追查其犯罪证据，二人连番斗智斗力，加上同时爱上酒店公关丘碧凝（梁艺龄），令到关系更形复杂。明加强对付超，凝误会他公报私仇，投超怀抱。及后，柱与另一头目刘振声（李成昌）背叛超，携其犯罪证据逃去，超追杀二人，柱为救中而死，中感内疚。凝对超起疑，终揭穿其真面目，将其犯罪证据交予明，超大怒，决杀二人，凝为救明而死，明誓要缉拿超归案……
