本美术片为剪纸片。 森林旁边一个小村庄里，住着一对喜欢贪小便宜的老头和老太，他们可以为把鸡赶到晒谷场上偷吃别人谷子的做法得意老半天。狡猾的狐狸偷食完他们的一只鸡往回赶，路上看见又大又圆的葡萄，想起他们的弱点，计上心来。狐狸将葡萄捧在手心，佯装已将恶习改掉，用甜言蜜语哄得老头和老太满心欢喜地将葡萄接下，又把看鸡的活交给了它。后来，狐狸再用花言巧语辅以实物的做法将狼和野猪也引入老头和老太家中。当老头和老太高枕无忧地做美梦时，他们的鸡羊猪等早被这三个家伙都偷光了。
