六岁的梅子在家门口附近，被从天而降的烟灰缸砸倒在血泊中。警方接报后火速前往取证调查，孰料现场除了一滩血迹外别无他物，肇事烟灰缸竟然不翼而飞……蓄意谋杀？意外事件？还是天降横祸？警方为此展开了一连串调查，但因为关键证物丢失，案情丝毫没有进展……梅子的母亲田红却不肯罢休，四处筹集医药费用的同时独自开始调查，誓要找出肇事者讨个说法，大楼的所有住户顿时全成了嫌疑对象。疑云重重里抽丝拔茧，嫌疑指向同楼住户张素云。可张素云跟随田红家过往并没有矛盾发生，她为什么要伤害小小年纪的梅子呢？疑虑丛生的田红觉得事有蹊跷，继续深入调查，却被她发现整个事件背后隐藏着一个大秘密：烟灰缸确实是张素云扔下的，但对象却是她的老公，于是扯出隐藏了数十年的情仇血情……
