One Man's Pilgrimage

Jim Broadbent will star in the new film [The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, temporary translation]. Directed by Sheedy Macdonald ("Normal People"). The film is adapted from the best-selling book of the same name written by Rachel Joyce. It tells the story of Harold Fry (played by Broadburn) who receives a letter from Queenie, a friend he has not seen for 20 years. Queenie is suffering from cancer and writes a farewell letter. Shocked and grieved, Harold wrote a reply. On the way to send the letter, he thought about his life from Queenie. He passed one mailbox after another and walked farther and farther. Finally, he walked from the southwest to the northeast, spanning the entire England. 87 days, 627 miles, with only one belief: as long as he leaves, my old friend will survive.
