Coriolanus

"Coriolanus" is adapted from Shakespeare's work. The original work took place in the ancient Roman era. The general Coriolanus made many military exploits, but was exiled because of his stubborn temper. Coriolanus was obsessed with his past enemies and attacked the Roman Empire. In the end, he was finally convinced by his mother, but he sacrificed his life for it. The movie version moved the background to the modern battlefield in Iraq, and "Voldemort" also transformed into General Coriolanus. It was no accident that Ralph Fiennes chose Shakespeare's famous tragedy as the material for his first directorial feature. Ten years ago he debuted Coriolanus at the Almeida Theater in London. Since then, "I have been fascinated by this work and its characters. I have always had a strong intuition that I can put it into a modern context and make it into a movie." The film was filmed in Baghdad, but the lines were entirely taken from Shakespeare's original work.
