Falling out of favor with God's Children

The story takes place in Governor Kittredge's School, where James (William Hurt William Hurt) is a teacher. With his unique teaching methods, James quickly gained the favor of his students and the trust of his colleagues. James himself was also very satisfied with the peaceful life here. Sara (played by Marlee Matlin) used to be a student of this school. After graduation, she returned here several times and worked as a cleaner. Because of her physical disability, Sarah is withdrawn, but this attracts the attention of James. He takes the initiative to approach Liz, hoping that Liz can regain her confidence and continue her studies. As time went by, Liz's attitude towards James changed from being extremely resistant at the beginning to being slightly fond of him. Her personality began to slowly change, and the distance between her and James became closer. But at this moment, a new problem appeared.
