Although the two films "The Golden Autumn Festival" and "The Golden Autumn Festival" were filmed more than 30 years apart, they both reflect Chinese rural families dealing with conflicts and love issues between mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law, and aunts. They have the same theme, but are unique. The two films were directed by Han Zhijun and Zhao Huanzhang respectively. They echoed each other from a historical perspective with their different themes, perspectives, concepts of the times, and style aesthetics.
