In Kyoto during the Heian period, several cases of samurai murders occurred outside the Castle Gate. It is rumored that when samurai pass through this gate at night, they will always see a beautiful woman (played by Kikako Taichi) walking alone. The woman is transformed by a monster, seduces the samurai with her beauty, and kills the samurai when he is not prepared. The samurai Gintoki (played by Nakamura Yoshiemon) who was born as a commoner was ordered by the general Yorimitsu (played by Kei Sato) to put down the monsters. Encountering a female demon outside the gate of Luo City, she discovered that she was actually his wife from his hometown. Gintoki went up the mountain with his wife, and even saw his mother (played by Nobuko Otoha) whom he had not seen for many years. Gintoki regretted that he had mistakenly believed the rumors and came to see his wife every night. On the 8th day, there was no sign of his wife, and only his mother remained on the mountain. At this point, Gintoki realizes that his mother and wife are no longer human beings. His wife was sent back to the demon world because of her mortal desires, and now her mother has become a monster full of resentment and revenge...
