Daimyo Bankruptcy

Koshiro, a commoner fishmonger, was suddenly informed of his true identity and inherited the position of daimyo. He thought it was a beautiful fairy tale about an ugly duckling turning into a swan, but he discovered that his territory owed a huge debt equivalent to about 10 billion yen today, and there was a shocking conspiracy behind it. This film is adapted from the period novel of the same name written by the contemporary Japanese writer Jiro Asada. It brings together an all-star cast such as Kamiki Ryunosuke, Miyazaki Aoi, Matsuyama Kenichi, Asano Tadanobu, etc. The music genius Yoshihide Otomo provides the soundtrack.
