Arctic Migration

Lionsgate Films will join forces with India's Crest Animation to produce the 3D animated film "Norm of the North". The film will be shot using stereoscopic 3D, a technology used in "Avatar". The film, written by Steven Altiere and Daniel Altiere, centers on a polar bear and three lemmings. When the ice in their homeland began to melt, several large and small animals had to migrate to other places. Later, led by the polar bear, they came to New York and performed around as a company's mascot. Eventually, they discovered that their employer was actually the culprit of the melting of Arctic ice and snow. The film is positioned as a family film and will be produced by Lionsgate Home Entertainment. Kuster Animation hopes to have the film released in early 2012.
