Gutian Conference

At the end of 1928, the Fourth Red Army was almost completely destroyed in southern Jiangxi. Mao Zedong withstood the pressure to rectify the banditry, extreme democratization and non-proletarian ideology of the Fourth Red Army. The central government sent Liu Angong to the Fourth Red Army. Conflicts are getting more and more intense. Disagreements within the Fourth Red Army eventually led to Mao Zedong being defeated as secretary of the Front Committee at the Seventh Congress of the Fourth Red Army. Mao Zedong proposed to leave the army and work in western Fujian for a period of time. Chen Yi went to the Shanghai Central Committee to report on his work and asked for instructions on how to resolve conflicts within the Fourth Red Army. The Fourth Red Army finally captured Shanghang City, which had not been broken for four hundred years. Mao Zedong came to Shanghang to discuss their respective opinions with Zhu De. Zhu and Mao did not reach an agreement. However, under the strong military pressure of the Kuomintang's "three provincial capital campaigns", Zhu De began to realize the rationality of Mao Zedong's opinions and strategies. Both parties decided to wait for Chen Yi to return from Shanghai and bring instructions from the central government before making a decision. Chen Yi returned from Shanghai and brought back instructions from the Central Committee and reinstated Mao Zedong as secretary of the former committee. The Fourth Red Army went through Xinquan training and came to Gutian. Gutian Liao Clan Ancestral Hall, the Ninth Congress of the Fourth Red Army was held. Amidst the snowflakes, Mao Zedong made a political report and established the principles of building the party and the army. The people's armed forces led by the Communist Party of China have since left their childhood and embarked on a new journey.
