Samurai's Household Accounts

The Tokugawa shogunate, which lasted for more than two hundred years, is gradually coming to an end, but the people living in the Kaga Domain still live a relatively peaceful life. Naoyuki Inoyama (played by Masato Sakai) is a samurai who works in the domain. Although he is a disciple of the samurai family, he rarely wields a sword or stick. His main job is to serve as the "employee" in the domain. The so-called accounting and employing people are similar to today's accountants. The most common things they deal with every day are abacus and account books. This is also a job that has been passed down from generation to generation in the Inoyama family. Soon, Naozhi married the beautiful girl Aju (played by Yuki Nakama), and the livelihood of the Inoyama family became increasingly stretched due to various reasons, and Naozhi had to take care of the family's finances... The film is adapted from the book "The Samurai's Household Account Book "The Kaga Domain Imperial Accountant" No. 1 Tokugawa Restoration" by historian Michichi Isoda, which was compiled from the family records of Naoyuki Inoyama during the Tokugawa shogunate period.
