Private War

Jamie Dornan has joined Rosamund Pike and Taron Egerton to star in the new biographical film "A Private War," which will be directed by Matthew Heineman ("Ghost Town") and scripted by Arash Amell ("Princess of Monaco"). It will be based on the article on Colvin's life written by "Vanity Fair" and Charlize Theron will serve as the producer. Pei Chunhua plays the female war reporter Mary Colvin, and Egerton plays a reporter with a military background who follows Colvin to the war zone to report. Shooting starts in November. Colvin served on the front lines of wars in Kosovo, Chechnya, East Timor, the Middle East, Sierra Leone, and Zimbabwe. He was seriously injured during the Sri Lankan civil war and lost an eye. He also reported on the "Arab Spring" anti-government movement. In 2012, he was killed in a rocket attack in Homs when the Syrian war broke out.
