A serious car accident caused the girl Sagara Koto (played by Sakurai Sakura) to lose her parents forever, and she also seemed to have the ability to see another world, and she was troubled by this. After a year of treatment, Aqin recovered and was discharged from the hospital. By chance, he met Shinji (Ryo Ishii), a young man who intended to commit suicide. On the other hand, Shinji once helped police officer Sonezaki kill and dismember his body. Now he is also facing the fate of being killed and silenced by Sonezaki. Everything develops in an unpredictable direction... This film is adapted from the classic rakugo masterpiece "The Peony Lantern" by Sanyu Ting Enchao. It is directed by the emerging director Shimizu Masato and is the first part of the "New Story" series.
