Simple Love

There are no actors, no script, no false emotions. "The Distance Between Us and Sex" is a documentary drama that goes beyond fiction. Director Taimo Jangdari spent four months filming seven men and women between the ages of 25 and 45 living in Cologne, Germany. They controlled their own destiny and bravely expressed their situations and feelings. Sophia moved back home to live with her mother and sisters, and she decided to engage in prostitution when she lost her job; Thorne was strong and stylish and was keen on boxing. He lived in a stable place among female bed partners until he met the girl he fell in love with; Leni studied massage therapy and started living with his girlfriend Pia who was in love; Stella maintained an open relationship with her boyfriend Nick, but could not hide her uneasiness. The four groups of characters develop intertwinedly. They are naked in front of the camera, and making love is as natural as breathing. But what is more empathetic is the attitude of never compromising on life, and finding a love that leads to happiness and dedication. But, can love be so simple? Can sex bring us closer?
