The Glory of Prostitutes

The film faithfully records the real life of local prostitutes in the "goldfish bowl" of Thailand, the slum brothels of Bangladesh, and the red light districts of Mexico. There is no acting or pretense. What is shown in the camera is their painful and helpless life, their dignity being deprived of due to discrimination, and their struggle and sympathy. The film does not evaluate the practices and behaviors of these prostitutes from a moral perspective, but only allows the audience to have a close understanding of the prostitute industry and their living conditions from the perspective of a bystander. These plots and truths that deeply touch our hearts will explore prostitution culture and its existence value from the aspects of gender, marriage and religious concepts. The documentary "The Glory of the Whore" directed by Austrian director Michel Glaworg is the last in the "Globalization Documentary Trilogy", the other two being "Metropolis" in 1998 and "Death of the Laborman" in 2005.
