Once Upon a Time in China

The story takes place somewhere in the south of the Yangtze River in the late Qing Dynasty. The Zheng family and the Cao family have been feuding for several generations due to their ancestral grievances, and have not interacted with each other since old age. At that time, the Qing Dynasty was on the verge of collapse and society was in turmoil. The second young master of the Cao family, Cao Guanghan (played by Zhu Yuchen), was influenced by Western democratic ideas and, with the help of Swedish mechanic Lucas (played by Marti Wa IIstrom), opened a match factory to revitalize the national industry.
