Sending Cranes A Thousand Miles

The film tells the story of a Tibetan village on the Qinghai Plateau, where the young Dorje and his sister Gesang live with their grandmother. The siblings, who lost their mother early in life, longed for their father's company, but his father was always busy outside and rarely came home. One day, the siblings came across an injured little black-necked crane, and they kindly took it home and took care of it. Winter is approaching, and the little crane cannot complete its migration without the guidance of its parent bird. The siblings decided to ride a motorcycle to send it to its wintering place in Yunnan. When the father heard that the children had left home without permission, he immediately went south to look for them.
