Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Fire of Kyoto

Entering the Meiji era, the former "Executioner Battousai" Himura Kenshin (played by Takeru Sato) has become accustomed to the peaceful life of Kamiya Dojo. Unexpectedly, on this day, his old friend from the Overthrow War, Okubo Toshimichi (played by Miyazawa Kazushi), known as one of the three heroes of the Restoration, invited him there. It turns out that Shishio Makoto (Fujiwara Tatsuya), who inherited the identity of Kenshin's executioner, was betrayed by the new government that year. Shishio, who was lucky enough to survive, is secretly planning a terrible plan to dominate Japan. After Okubo's death, Kenshin, who felt that he had an unshirkable responsibility, took to the road alone. On the way, he not only met Kyoto kunoichi Maki Machiso (played by Tsuchiya Tao), but also had his first encounter with Shishio in Crescent Village. At the same time, Sagara Sanosuke (played by Takashi Aoki), Kamiya Kaoru (played by Takei Saki), Myojin Yahiko (played by Kaito Oyagi), Saito Kazu (played by Eguchi Yosuke) also rushed to Kyoto one after another.
